Free gadget - Gratis gadget

Recently there is a tendency to copy other people's blogpost and/or pictures, without making mention of the  URL-source.
I can't tell you how annoying that is.
I could never ever imagine that people would pinch from others.
But ...how naive is that ?!

Lately crochet bloggers find their work more and more copied to a blog, a site or a facebookpage.
Okay, the internet is open to everyone, but to my opinion that does not mean you may copy and paste as you please.
There are still such things as decency values, even on the www.

If I would like to copy some other crocheters work, I do my best to link back to the original url. I expect others to do so as well, and happily lots do.
And I am gratefull for that.

So due to some copycats, I had to add my blogname over my pictures.
I don't like it. I think it's  ugly.

Maybe you've noticed my new gadget:
"copycats, violating my copyright will be listed"

Yes, I made it myself, with a free frame from Shabby Blogs.
You are free to copy and paste this gadget, without even mentioning you got it from me.
If you are a blogger at blogspot.com, you can add it after  saving on your pc, by the menu "blogger gadgets".

"copycats, violating my copyright will be listed"

I'll keep you in the loop

Hou je haaks

  2. Some people really don't care, they really don't. It is a shame. One thing you could do so no one can see your pictures or free pattern finds is to go to settings, and keep your blog private, or just for friends and family....others will need to ask you for permission to see your blog...or don't post anything you don't want out there, that way nobody will see it to copy or share. Your idea is really cute with the picture frame. I like the hooked on crochet picture you have posted on your sidebar, it is cute isn't it? I have the same one, have had it for years!

  3. Totally agree. It also makes it frustrating to find the creator of a wonderful piece that you'd like to purchase the pattern from or buy some of their creations. I spent several weeks trying to find the author of a beautiful shawl because someone posted just the picture! Perseverance won in the end and I now follow Adinda Zootman who is also Dutch. Now I follow Jose😄. Beautiful work and an interesting instructive blog.
